Our debut Album “Essence” was engineered this summer by Mark Kaeder and Steve Strauss and mixed by Mark Kaeder at Strauss Studios. Cass Anawaty of Sunbreak Music did the mastering for the CD and pre-mastering for the Vinyl. We were blessed with the contributions of two fabulous string players. Owen Hofmann-Smith ( Cello ) on tracks 2,4 and 7 and Sharon Cannon ( Violin ) on tracks 2 and 4. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us along the way in making this album!

The beautiful artwork for our debut album was painted by EGO who hails from Seattle, an amazing and inventive artist. This piece was painted using extremely thin layers of acrylic paint. The brush strokes are so fine I can barely see them. He collaborated with us using imagery, color, light and emotion, portraying the lyrics and mood from our album title song “Essence”. We are honored to be collaborating with such a gifted artist. Thank you Ego!

The song “Essence” was inspired by a German author Patrick Suskind. His book Perfume is about a perfume apprentice in 18th century France who, born with no body scent himself, begins to stalk and murder virgins in search of the “perfect scent”. If you haven’t read this book, go out now and get your hands on it! It is amazing. Although it sounds horrible and cruel, you will be surprised at how quickly you start to see things from Jean-Baptiste Grenouille’s point of view. Have I got your attention! I know it sounds crazy, just read it!
